WavreWalloon Brabant

Your shop window, online, rebuilt to last.

Studio Façade rebuilds websites for independent businesses in Walloon Brabant: butchers, joiners, shopkeepers, craftspeople. Fast pages that read well on a phone and make sense to Google — and someone to look after them afterwards.

  1. 01 Website redesign
  2. 02 Local SEO
  3. 03 Google Business Profile
  4. 04 Maintenance

§ 01 Services

Four jobs, one person to call.

Take a single service or combine them. Pricing is by quote, once we have looked properly at your current site.

  1. Website redesigns for independents

Your site is ten years old, hard to read on a phone, or no longer says what you do. We rebuild it without losing what already works.

    • Lightweight pages, no site builder, no unnecessary plugins
    • Laid out for the phone first
    • Copy rewritten with you, in the way you talk about your trade
    • Old addresses redirected so you keep your visitors
  2. Local SEO

Being found when someone searches for “joiner Wavre” or “butcher Limal”. No promises of the top spot — just careful work on everything Google reads.

    • Proper titles, descriptions and heading structure on every page
    • LocalBusiness structured data: address, phone, opening hours
    • The same name, address and phone number everywhere you appear
    • One page per service where it makes sense
  3. Google Business Profile

Often the first thing customers see, before your website. We fill it in, check it and keep it up to date.

    • Accurate categories, service area and description
    • Opening hours, including bank holidays and closures
    • Photos of the shop, the workshop, your work
    • Help replying to reviews
  4. Maintenance

A website isn’t something you put up and forget. We look after it so you don’t have to think about it.

    • Updates to the system, theme and plugins
    • Security: HTTPS certificate, access, monitoring
    • Regular backups, tested and stored elsewhere
    • Small content changes on request

§ 02 Why

What we find when we look under the bonnet.

Before starting the studio, we went through the websites of independent businesses in the area. This is what keeps coming up. Nothing dramatic — and that is exactly the problem.

  1. Pages still built with layout tables, without a single H1 heading.

Neither Google nor screen readers can tell what the page is about. On a phone, the layout breaks or forces you to zoom.

  2. A WordPress site that hasn’t been updated since 2018.

Every outdated plugin is an open door. The day the site gets hacked, there is often no recent backup.

  3. No structured data at all.

Nothing tells Google that this is a business, where it is, or when it’s open. It has to guess — or get the information somewhere else.

  4. Leftover template text, live on the page: Il s’agit du contenu de la balise Div de disposition "txt-300".

It opens the home page of a business that has been in Wavre for more than fifty years.

  5. Two different sets of opening hours on the same page.

6.30 pm in the text, 6 pm in the footer, and Wednesday afternoon simply disappears. A customer who makes the trip for nothing doesn’t come back.

  6. A “Créer un site web gratuit” (make a free website) badge in the footer.

A workshop’s craftsmanship deserves better than an advert for the tool that built its site.

§ 03 Process

Five steps, in this order.

At every stage you know where things stand, what we need from you and what comes next.

  1. 01

    Review

We look at your current site, your Google profile and how you show up in local searches. You get a written report in plain language.

  2. 02

    Meeting

An hour at your shop or workshop. What customers ask you, what you want to highlight, what keeps you on the phone for too long.

  3. 03

    Mock-up

A real page you can open on your phone, with your own copy. You comment, we adjust. Nothing gets built until the mock-up is signed off.

  4. 04

    Launch

Build, redirects from old pages, structured data, an updated Google profile. Your domain name stays yours.

  5. 05

    Aftercare

Updates, backups, monitoring. New opening hours or a new photo? Just send an email.

§ 04 Case studies

Three façades, before and after.

Unsolicited proposals, not commissioned. These three businesses are not our clients and have not asked us for anything. We picked three public websites from the area to show our work in concrete terms. The mock-ups use only the text from their current sites; missing information is clearly marked as such. The mock-ups themselves are in French.

Comptoir des Cafés et Thés

Coffee roaster and tea house · Wavre

After: Studio Façade mock-up for Comptoir des Cafés et Thés, espresso-brown background, large title in thin capitals and direct access to the online shop. Before: screenshot of the current Comptoir des Cafés et Thés website, brown background, logo and menu as images, a long block of text on a gradient, cookie banner at the bottom.
Before: current site · After: Studio Façade mock-up

Findings

  • Logo and menu are images: Google can’t read any text in them.
  • Template text visible to search engines: contenu de la balise Div de disposition.
  • The whole history of the business sits in a single block of text, with no subheadings.

The proposal

An online shop: coffee by origin, tea by colour, fine groceries and Japanese tableware, with a basket. The feel of the shop counter without photos: typography, kraft paper and brass.

  • Two versions of the opening hours on the same page.
  • Catering is mentioned, but there is no menu and no way to order from the home page.
  • A footer that still reads “© Copyright 2018”.

The proposal

A straightforward, readable site for a neighbourhood shop, with a four-step catering order: occasion, selection, collection, contact details. Opening hours in one place only.

  • Around twenty services tucked away in a drop-down menu, absent from the home page.
  • A “Créer un site web gratuit” badge in the footer.

The proposal

A catalogue of projects sorted by type of work, the Google rating shown exactly as it is, and a quote request that asks the right questions from the start.
